Annual Conference of the Utah Chapter of the National Association for Multicultural Education “Narratives of Bravery and Hope: Embracing Diversity in Utah”

March 26th - 27th, 2010

The Utah Chapter of the National Association for Multicultural Education invites educators and researchers to submit a proposal to present their work on the theme “Narratives of Bravery and Hope: Embracing Diversity in Utah”

This year’s theme seeks to forward one of our most important missions: promoting cultural and ethnic diversity as a state-wide and national strength through narratives and counternarratives of those involved in the pursuit of equitable multicultural education. Multicultural education advocates the belief that students and their life histories and experiences should be placed at the center of the teaching and learning process. Recognizing that working for social justice in education may involve both bravery and hope, we especially seek work that centers upon personal stories that forefront the fortitude one may need to survive and thrive in our collective efforts.

March 26-27, 2010 at Westminster College, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Please carefully read all instructions and submit your proposal below according to the proposal requirements.

All proposals must be submitted by Friday, February 12nd by 5 p.m.
